Can we afford to have such an unprepared person as Veep?

By WDavidStephenson | September 12, 2008

Sarah Palin’s “deer in the headlights” reaction to Charlie Gibson’s question about the “Bush Doctrine” that the US

has the right to make a pre-emptive strike if convinced a massive strike against the US is imminent would be funny — classic schoolchild bluffing that we all tried in high school when we hadn’t studied — if we weren’t talking about her possibly being a heart-beat away from being Leader of the Free World. If you didn’t watch it, you owe it to yourself, your children, the nation — and the world — to watch it and ask yourself if this is an acceptable risk.
It isn’t. Shame on John McCain for such a callous action in putting short-term political gain ahead of the nation’s future!
