et al.: why is there no attention to detail by spammers?
By WDavidStephenson | July 6, 2007
It just occurred to me that I haven’t done any et al. posts since resuming my blog, so let’s put an end to that!
What provoked me was an email from “Danny Beard,” who went on to tell me ” Hello! I am tired this afternoon. I am nice girl that would like to chat with you.” Nicely, Danny went on to invite me to see some pix of him/her.
Is it just me, or aren’t most females with this name Danni (and employed in the film or dance “industries”?).
I’m a real sucker for spam, especially ones with hard-to-resist subject lines such as
(admit it: didn’t that entice you?). However, wouldn’t their success rate be increased with a little more attention to detail, such as names that agree with the content’s sexual identity, or slightly-improved spelling?
Go about your business…
