Next generation traffic reports and emergency management

By WDavidStephenson | July 5, 2007

This NY Times article about the next generation of customized traffic reports, such as Total Traffic Networks, is more support for my argument that evacuations in emergencies no longer have to be a one-size-fits-all, direct-everyone-to-the-Interstate approach.

It’s just the reverse of one such destination-oriented system that’s in the works, which would alert Miami Dolphins of tie-ups as they approach the stadium so they could seek alternatives.
